Since the end of our Kickstarter live campaign, our team has been working around the clock to finalize all pre-production details and stay ahead of schedule.

We have launched our surveys more than a week EARLIER than the typical 3-4 weeks timeline on Kickstarter. 🚀 🚀 🚀 This gave us a huge advantage in terms of finalizing order quantities by item, as well as obtaining the essential funds for sourcing and manufacturing.

If you haven’t received your survey, there are several things you can do to troubleshoot:
Double-check the e-mail on file with Kickstarter - Often users have old e-mails still tied to their accounts (Particularly if you authenticate through Facebook).
To make sure that emails from BackerKit don't get caught in your spam filter, add to your address book. Avoid marking BackerKit e-mails as spam.
Check your spam filters/archived e-mails. Subject lines to look for: Response Needed -- Get your reward for Project Nameor Reminder -- Response needed to deliver your reward for Project Name
[Important] 🍎 Apple ID Backers – Update Your Email
Backers who have pledged to the campaign using their Apple ID but haven't completely set up their Apple Pay account (linking their email address to their Apple Wallet) will have issues receiving their emails from BackerKit.
Those backers have a @[email protected] email address and will need to reach out to us to update your email address.
2. Fill in your current Apple ID email under the "What is your email?" section.
3. From the drop-down select "I am having trouble filling out my survey" option.
4. Next comes the "What is your question?" part, where you will request Backerkit to change your current Apple ID email to the new one:

A Quick Production Update 🚀
We know many of you are eager to receive UVMasks and have better protection for yourself and your loved ones. We are working around the clock to ensure we have a smooth production and fulfillment process. We will share periodical production updates in the coming weeks, and here's a quick update on what we have been busy working on:
1) We have already received the campaign funding from Kickstarter in full! Woohooo~
2) With the funding in place, we have already secured all essential components such as the high-intensity UV-C LEDs (80,000 units), N95/FFP2 (2 million pc), and N99/FFP3 filters (1 million pc), batteries, and convection fans. This is the most critical step to ensure a reliable production schedule. ⏰
3) More product samples will be completed for further pre-mass production testing and independent reviews. (Yes, we will be sending some product samples to journalists and prominent influencers for independent product reviews). 💪💪💪
4) A more detailed preliminary production timetable is being worked on and will be shared as we have everything confirmed. We will share it in future updates.

Where Is My Survey? 🕵️♀️
If you haven't received the email from BackerKit, don't panic. 👩💻 Give it half a day or so. Due to the sheer number of backers of our campaign, BackerKit is processing the surveys in batches, so there might be a slight lag in between batches. Also, follow the steps below:
✅ Make sure you are logged into the same email inbox you have used for Kickstarter registration (if you used your Apple ID, it should be the same email you used for your Apple ID registration).
✅ Make sure it's not in your 📵 'spam folder' or 📵 'junk mails'.

💡 The backer survey is where you will be able to provide your reward preferences (colors, sizes), purchase add-ons (i.e more filters, straps, front shells, etc.), pay for shipping, and provide us with your shipping address. It is very important that you complete your survey as soon as possible so we can get the rewards to you in a timely manner.

❓FAQ
📧 I have not received the Survey Email. What should I do?
The survey link was sent to the emailaddress you registered on Kickstarter with.
In case you have signed up via Facebook, the survey will be sent to the email you used for your Facebook account.
BackerKit shows that a small amount of the emails have ‘bounced’ which means that the survey couldn’t be delivered to those inboxes, so we'll try to send it again in 24 hours from now.
🛍️ Can I upgrade my pledge level to get more masks?
Yes, that way you'll be able to save on shipping costs AND get more filters as we reached the $3M threshold!
You can change or upgrade your pledge from inside the BackerKit Survey on the first screen you'll see by hitting "Switch your pledge level":
🛒 I have added funds to my pledge for add-ons, how should I select them?
Once you answer all the survey questions, you will be redirected to the screen with the available Add-ons.
Simply select the one that you initially intended to get and click on the "Add to Cart" button. You can select multiple items too by increasing the total item count.
The amount in your Credit Remaining will decrease. You can also select from over 20 add-ons and add them to your pledge as well.
📍 Can I change my shipping address before shipping?
Yes, you can change the shipping address before we lock the surveys in late September. We'll send final reminders prior to the deadline.
⏰ How long do I have to complete the survey?
The survey will be locked in late September. We advise you to complete it ASAP this or next week after receiving it so we can finalize our logistics and production plans.
🙌 I made a “Pledge without a reward” for a specific amount, how do I proceed?
1. Open the email you used to register for Kickstarter find your Backerkitsurvey
2. Hit on “Switch your pledge level” on the initial page
3. Select the respective reward that you'd like to get
4. Proceed to select your sizes and color
5. On the final page add the respective add-ons
6. Finalize the survey

We're excited to share that the surveys are almost ready to be sent 🎊
Surveys On Their Way Early Next Week! 🗒
One of the most important tasks for the survey is to ensure all SKU numbers (stock numbers for each item) are mapped to rewards and add-ons correctly. Since we offer many variables such as warranties, color options, and sizing, it is critical that these are mapped correctly and effectively for fulfillment and shipping. Any glitch could mean delays and errors down the road. That's one of the reasons setting up the pledge manager surveys are typically complex and time-consuming.
We are making sure every step in the survey process is well planned and thought out as any mistake could be costly and frustrating for our backers, and we are taking the extra time to make it 'perfect'!
We originally planned to send these out earlier, with PLENTY of contingency time ⏰. However, with over 30 different add-on types (SKUs for those more technical), we still have a few bugs to fix. The good news is, we are 99% there.
It's also worth mentioning that many creators delay sending the surveys until after the official 2-week period on Kickstarter for charging credit cards is over, so we are way ahead of schedule, thus there's no impact to our original timeline for production and delivery! 😊
Survey Process 🙇♂️📖
Early next week, around Tuesday/Wednesday, you will receive an email from a sender address titled "UVMask BackerKit Survey" with a unique link to your BackerKit survey.
You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link, to respond by following all steps.
Answer the questions about sizes, colors, provide shippinginformation, and purchase over 20add-on items if you like.
After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your shipping address at any time before we close the surveys prior to shipping and get our final counts.
If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account.
Can I change my shippingaddress in the meantime?
Yes, you'll be able to do so before we lock the surveys prior to shipping. We'll send a final reminder before the deadline approaches.
How long do I have to complete the survey?
We advise you to complete it ASAP after receiving it so we can finalize our logistics and production plans. We will lock the surveys in about one month from now, so you still have time to finish it until then.

You will need a printer for this method. There are two versions of this print-out tool: A4 and US Letter, depending on your printer paper size. Check your printer size first and choose the appropriate format. (The wrong format will result in the inaccurate result). Following the instructions closely for the correct results. Make sure you set your printer at the 'actual scale' or 100% in your printer settings. Use an actual ruler to compare with the paper ruler to confirm that your printing scale is correct 👈 (Very Important Step). You can download the guide here to print out.

How often to change the filters?
Will the newly added fan decrease the use time of the filters?
The simple answer is no. Filter change frequencies will stay the same.The respiratory center sets the quiet respiratory rhythm at around two seconds for an inhalation and three seconds exhalation. This gives the lower of the average rate at 12 breaths per minute with no gaps in between (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Respiratory_rate), which is about the same as having a steady constant airflow, so the filter life should stay about the same.
